About Mary M. Gosney

Mary had a series of difficult life events that prevented her from graduating from high school as a young woman. She preserved, though, and returned to school later in life.

Some of Will’s earliest childhood memories were shaped by accompanying his mom to school at Oklahoma City Community College.

Mary eventually earned herbachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma. She earned grades that put her among the top of her class, and she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society.

Mary then went on to teach computer literacy and programming at Francis Tuttle Technology Center in Oklahoma City. Mary left a legacy of learning and a passion for education that inspired many.

It is that legacy we honor by awarding a scholarship in her memory to an Oklahoma student who intends positively impact lives as Mary did by pursuing a
career in education.
